What are Nalu Healthcare appointments available?

Nalu Healthcare will begin its soft opening in September 2026, offering a limited number of appointments through our exclusive Foundation Member Program.

This 12-week pilot program is available at a special introductory rate. Participants will receive comprehensive medical assessment, personalised treatment and ongoing support while helping shape the future Nalu Healthcare experience through their feedback.

Our official clinic opening will take place in October 2026, with appointments available from our new boutique clinic in Baringa, as well as via Telehealth where appropriate.

What is Nalu Healthcare?

Nalu Healthcare is a Nurse Practitioner-led clinic providing personalised care for weight management, metabolic health, menopause and healthy ageing.

We focus on helping individuals achieve sustainable health improvements through evidence-based medical treatment, education and ongoing support.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse with extensive clinical experience and additional postgraduate qualifications.

Nurse Practitioners can:

  • Assess and diagnose health conditions

  • Order and interpret pathology and diagnostic tests

  • Prescribe medications within their scope of practice

  • Develop and manage treatment plans

  • Refer to specialists and allied health providers

Nurse Practitioners provide comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare.

Who is suitable for Nalu Healthcare services?

Our services may be suitable for individuals seeking support with:

Every treatment plan is individualised based on your health history, goals and clinical needs.

Do I need a referral?

No.

You can book directly with Nalu Healthcare without a referral from your GP or another healthcare provider.

Are appointments available via Telehealth?

Yes.

Many consultations can be conducted via secure telehealth appointments.

Some patients may benefit from an in-person consultation, particularly for initial assessments or where physical examination is required.

How long are appointments?

Initial Consultation: 60 minutes

Results Review Consultation: 30 minutes

Follow-Up Consultations: 20–30 minutes

Comprehensive Program Reviews: 30–45 minutes

Appointment lengths may vary depending on your individual needs.

Will I need blood tests?

Possibly.
 

Pathology testing is often recommended to help assess your overall health and identify factors that may be affecting weight, metabolism, energy levels, hormone balance or wellbeing.
 

Testing recommendations are tailored to each individual.

Will I be prescribed medication?

Not everyone requires medication.

Treatment recommendations are based on a comprehensive clinical assessment and may include lifestyle interventions, nutrition guidance, exercise recommendations, menopause therapies, prescription medications or a combination of approaches.

Any medication prescribed will be discussed thoroughly, including benefits, risks and expected outcomes.

Do you prescribe weight loss medications?

Where clinically appropriate, weight management medications may form part of an individual’s treatment plan.

Treatment recommendations are based on medical history, health goals, current health status and evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Do you provide menopause care?

Yes.

Nalu Healthcare provides assessment and management of perimenopause and menopause symptoms, including discussion of hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options where appropriate.

How often will I need follow-up appointments?

This varies depending on your treatment plan and goals.

Most patients are reviewed regularly during the first 12 weeks before transitioning to maintenance reviews every 12 weeks.

Additional appointments can be arranged if required.

Can I claim Medicare rebates?

At present, consultation fees are privately billed.

Any available Medicare rebates will be discussed with you if applicable to your circumstances.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

We understand that circumstances can change.

We ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes.

Your personal and health information is managed in accordance with Australian privacy legislation and professional healthcare standards.

Information is only shared with your consent or where legally required.
